hella worth it

just checking in with y'all.
my life has been hectic lately in both good and not so good ways.  messy stuff, living.
hella worth it, though.  the good stuff is so stinkin' good.

first couple pictures of work: a real large custom bag order i made for a yoga teacher to haul her props and whatnot around in.  it was a nice project to work on.  also, thank you so much remodelista for featuring my hand-dyed vintage crochet bedspread on the blog last week.  if i haven't already said it, remodelista is the big design blog i read daily.  it's a great one.  the original spread sold but i have a waiting list for more of these as they become available.  if you are interested the best way to get on the list would be to send me an etsy conversation.

i spent one day this past weekend in boston helping my boy ethan get his stuff home for the summer.  that's me in the mass art bathroom in front of a frosted glass window that made even a smelly college toilet feel serene.  adding frosted glass to my list of things to include in the future house of my dreams.

i also helped to put a vegetable garden in yesterday.  i gots the sunburn on my shoulders to prove it. i'm sure i'll post pictures of garden progress on the blog throughout the summer.

last but not not not least, my girl, my one and only daughter, sweet sweet child, olivia, turned 20 this memorial day.  i love you liv.  love you like no other.

cross

a larger cross zip purse

here from there

hefty and deep grey black.
takes 4-5 dips in the dye pots to get here from there.

i am thinking of branching out color-wise this year
but i will never tire of black.

it's friday and i'm heading out for the day with eli to take a workshop on vernal pools.  kid has a thing for aquatic animals, yo.

then i'm heading to the bus station to pick up my oldest boy ethan.  he's done with his junior year of art school! my lord that's crazy!

on the subject of offspring, my middle child, olivia, will turn 20 in 10 days.  i don't even know what to say....some cliche blah blah about time marching on and appreciate the moments you have with them when they are children.  it's cliche for a reason.
